UPAA Island Escapade
April 25 - UPAA-UAE (University of the Philippines Alumni Association - UAE) held an Island Escapade in Umm Al Quain as part of its fund raising activity for the scholarship project. It was attended by more than 140 participants who enjoyed the sun and sand, playing games like Amazing Race and Tug of War.
A part of the Amazing Race is the ‘Kite Flying’ competition; it captured everyone’s attention. All the participants made their kites from scratch and they were all able to make them fly and fly high! Matayog ang lipad ng saraggola ni Pepe. People were on their feet to see how far the kites will go.
The night ended with dinner and crab hunting for the industrious ones who waded through shallow waters in search of the crustaceans.
Proceeds will go to the UPAA-UAE Scholarship Fund.
